College Financial Aid
What is the FAFSA?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is a form that can be filled out to receive financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college.
What is an FSA ID?
An FSA ID is your account username and password. The FSA ID allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites. Both the student and their parent(s) must have their own FSA ID.
Once you have created your FSA ID, it is important that you write it down and store it in a safe place.
What is the TASFA?
The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is used by participating institutions of higher education in Texas to collect information to help determine a student's eligibility for state financial aid.
